Hey guys, I interviewed at Upstate on November 3rd and I really liked it. I didn't expect to enjoy it so much, because it's pretty close to home, but the facilities really impressed me. I know they said that they call accepted people about 3 weeks after the interview, but if you get waitlisted do they call you at all, or just send you a letter? I'm just curious. Also, did you guys really hear in 3 weeks? Thanks, and good luck to everyone!
I interviewed at Upstate as well. I called the admissions office to ask what they do for waitlists and rejections. The person told me that they send a letter for that, and call only for acceptances. Also, I interviewed 4 weeks ago (October 8th), so they haven't gotten in touch with me in that time frame. The people in the admissions office checked my file and said that the adcom hasn't met to discuss my application yet, but it could be 6-8 weeks from my interview date (I'm not sure about anyone else that was interviewed on that day). Some people that were interviewed on the 6th were called on the 22nd of October. I have no idea what they're doing and how as far as decisions. I'll let you know when I hear SOMETHING!
hey i also interviewed on the 8th. they called a few days ago to get me to send in that 3rd and 4th year clinical campus choice sheet, but that's all the correspondance i've had. the director of admissions (i think it was him) said that they usually take 3 weeks but they were starting to get backed up when we were there, so a long time might not really be a problem. i think he also said that it depends on how long your interviewers take to get feedback in. hope that helps, i'll post if i here anything else too.
