Hey,

For anyone out there thats at upstate right now, I have a few questions. I just got in and I am very interested in the summer anatomy program there. I was wondering if anyone knows details about how to get in, how many people they accept etc. Also I read in a princeton review med school book that upstate has a MD/MBA program, but when I look at the school website, there is nothing about it. Does upstate really have this program or is my princeton book outdated? And one last thing. How is the housing at upstate. I def wanna stay on campus, and was wondering do all first years get guaranteed housing there, or do I have to apply?? Any info on any of these questions would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

im a 2nd year at upstate. i was not in the summer anatomy program so im not sure but i think they offer it to some people. i would suggest emailing the admissions office and asking. There are about 10-15 people in it i think im not sure. it is good cause it gives you a chance to take an elective or do research or nothing when everyone else is taking anatomy. right now there is no md/mba program but there was some meetings last year about starting one i am not sure what is happening with that. I live in the upstate "dorm" which is not really a dorm it is pretty much an apartment builing with the perks of a dorm( being with your classmates, social events). im not sure if you are guarented housing though i dont think it will be a problem getting it or ever has. i know people who have gotten in the week before and gotten a room. The only problem would be getting a single which would depend on how many people live here. You should get an application for housing if you get in i would guess they will send it out within the next month or 2. any more questions just send me a pm.
