Will this upward trend stand out in my application? Fresh 2.5, soph 3.0, junior 3.7, senior 4.0...my junior and senior are pretty much all upper level sciences. I did some retakes so my aacomas gap looks about 3.4 CPA and 3.6 sgpa. Lots of patient contact working as CNA at hospital. 6mths of shadowing family practice DO. Many hrs of church volunteering over 4yrs. PS will revolve around my experience living with immune deficiency and having to get IvIg for life now...being a patient gives much perspective! Plan to organize blood drive and encourage plasma donating also. Will be applying June 1st! Thanks for any tips or encouragement!

Yes, it will definitely help your app. You have good ECs and seem to have a good plan for your PS. How is your MCAT?

Will be taking in April...doing the Kaplan course online. I understand I should try for highest score but what do you think would be ideal score?

27+ will ensure you are competitive, assuming you apply EARLY!

Your upward trend will look great to! Good job!

Sorry to hear about your immune deficiency situation, but I'm sure it gives you an appreciation for the field not many other students will have. It'll make for a good personal statement theme too! 🙂

Everything looks great! Do well on the mcat (at least a 27) and you should get multiple acceptances.

Your GPA doesn't look too shabby, ECs are good, keep up the shadowing, 27+ on the MCAT, apply early and you should be golden. When you go to interview and they ask about your freshman year, just explain that you weren't prepared (no bs).

Best of luck!
