in my first year of college i didn't do so well, getting around a 3.25. but i have gotten nothing lower than a 3.6 since then, but my gpa is still only a 3.47.
my advisors tell me that an upward trend like that can help me, but i am not so sure at what what stage in the application process it will, i.e. only if i would get an interview. i still have one year to add to my transcript, but i was wondering if anyone else was in the application process and in my situation that could provide some feedback. thanks.

I have not gone through the application process but when I started college at the age of 17 I got 2 F's on my transcript. I just though college was stupid and didn't both to withdraw, I just stopped going all together. This was 13 years ago.

I am 30 years old now and had to start with a GPA of 1.125 (hahaha) and now 2 years later I am up to a 3.15 (and that is with all A's and B's and one C) so it takes time. My kids are so little I dont plan to start applying for another 2 years so I think by then my GPA should be about 3.5 I hope that will be good enough and I ovioulsy have a very large upward trend in grades.

Good luck to you!
