So, I just noticed that one of my classes was not on the orginal transcript according to AMCAS. Now its not any of the prereq courses, I could care less whether it is on there or not, but it looks bad having that symbol on my app!! After a bit of calling around I found out this disconcerting bit of news and I desperately NEED advice FAST!!! Maybe its a bit complicated but follow me:

THE QUESTION and SITUATION: This course was taken at Institution A which transfers its credits to Insititution B and I get a transcripts from Institution A and B, but the transcript from institution B is the one that matters. So institution B didn't accept this particular course even though it transfered to my main school (which is also affliated with Institution B, but in a different way) and I merrily entered the course under them anyway in AMCAS.

So what do I do? submit an academic change request? ask the institution(s) to write a letter? explain it to the med schools?

Thanks SO much for your advice!!!!

This isn't the case for AMCAS if they're separate institutions... the transcript that matters for AMCAS is the transcript that comes from each institution you attended.

Ummm... The cycle almost over... If no one has questioned it yet, just leave it alone. If you get accepted somewhere and the schools questions it, just show them both transcripts and say AMCAS messed up or something.

Thanks for the advice.

It was actually pretty simple. I submitted an academic change request (delete the class that did not transfer to Insititution B because it wasn't on B's transcript) yesterday and today they changed it.
