Hi, I have a very urgent question, and I really need help from you guys. My official transcript was sent to AADSAS like 2 weeks ago for academic update, and I got the following email from them today.

It says they did not recieve all of my transcripts. However, I went to only one university, and I have no idea what they're talking about. I did not give the AADSAS Transcript Request form to Registrar's office, so could this be a problem? I had my school send the transcript twice but they don't have the request form with them. Did you guys have your transcripts sent with the AADSAS Transcript Request form together? Do I need the transcript request form for academic update just like the first transcript? Did any of you get the same email as mine? I am so frustrated right now... Could you please reply me if you know anything about this? I really appreciate your opinions. Thank you so much!!!

The e-mail from AADSAS:

AADSAS shows that we have not received all of your official transcripts
for the colleges you indicated that you have attended. If you have not
already done so, arrange for AADSAS to receive your transcripts as
promptly as possible so we may process your application.
As a reminder, AADSAS requires official transcripts from all
colleges/universities attended, even if coursework transferred and is
posted to another transcript.

To request transcripts, use the AADSAS Transcript Request form to request
an official transcript from each U.S./Canadian college/university you
have attended. To access the form, login to your application, go to the
Colleges Attended section and select the Transcript Request form from the
top menu bar. Your college Registrar should attach the AADSAS Transcript
Request form to an official copy of your transcript, place both in a
sealed envelope and forward directly to:

AADSAS - Transcript Processing Center
P.O. Box 9110
Watertown, MA 02471

AADSAS does not accept student-issued (unofficial) transcripts.

If you have chosen not to pursue your application further, please
disregard this message. However, you should be aware that AADSAS does not
issue refunds to applicants who choose not to finalize their applications.

Thank you,

AADSAS staff

It may just be that AADSAS hasnt processed your transcript. I never had any transcript form sent with my transcript and they got all mine. You might want to ask the school to resend them (with the form this time) just in case. 🙂

Here's my story with AADSAAS: I submitted my application at the end of August but my transcripts were sent to AADSAAS much earlier (in June) which shouldn't have been a problem according to AADSAAS. I just happened to call them in mid-september and found out that they did not have my transcripts and therefore my application was incomplete. AADSAAS would not send my application without these transcripts which would assist them in calculating my GPA, and the schools I applied to would not allow me to send a printed AADSAAS application with transcripts for review (so there was no bypassing the system). So...to make a long story short, I resent my transcripts to AADSAAS. What was crazy about it was that they never notified me of this problem even though it was a gliche on their part - so total silence on AADSAAS's part and later when I discovered there was a problem there were not any exceptions to be made regardless of the valuable rolling admission days gone by (no acceleration of GPA calculations at AADSAAS or anything like that). My application probably would have sat incomplete until the end of the 2006 application cycle if I had not called.

You need to call and speak to an AADSAAS manager right away and then have your transcripts sent directly to the transcript processing center overnight (a different location). After they confirmed my transcripts, it took until mid-November to calculate my GPA and mail out my application and then I was informed by each school that AADSAAS had not sent my LORs, so while my application had been electronically sent at the end of November, my application remained incomplete at each school due to the lack of LORs (I assume then that LORs are not scanned in and sent electronically). I had to call and speak to an AADSAAS manager again and he confirmed that AADSAAS forgot to send the LORs and was happy to overnight it for me. Finally, it took until the end of December before the schools themselves would confirm for me that my application was complete - and now I just sit and wait...my advice? Follow up on each step of this process until you get written confirmation from each school that your application is complete. I forgot to mention - one school even had me send another set of transcripts b/c they did not trust AADSAAS's GPA and official transcript confirmations. So that story represents the outstanding "quality assurance" at AADSAAS...it's been a near disaster with them this year!

Thank all of you for your help! I will call AADSAS tomorrow morning and resend the transcript with AADSAS transcript request form. By the way, I checked AADSAS website, and under "Colleges Attended" section, there was a "Transcript Request Form" button at the top. However, I clicked on it, and the form doesn't appear. Is the request form available now? Have any of you had access to the transcript request form for academic update? or is it just my computer that is not working properly? I look forward to your reply. Thank you so much!!!

I feel your pain. Though your AADSAS problem was much crazier then mine, but I too had problems with LOR being sent by AADSAS.

Since they are the only company, we are forced to go through them and deal with their mistakes. It is a complete monopoly and the service will NOT get better since there is no one to complete with.

We pay a lot of money to them for their service and they should be accountable for their mistakes. I understand we are all human, but if Microsoft or Dell or Ford made that many mistakes they would be bankrupt. Or just think of car recalls, the company gives you back your money, fixes the problem, or provides a comparable car. AADSAS does not have any accountability for their mistakes, many times they tell you that the letters have been sent, even though it's been over a month and the schools did not have it (my personal experience).

I got the same email. I just took it to mean that the program sees that you have "not received" next to your transcript in the transcript section. It is simply because they have not processed yours yet. I did the update less than a week ago and got that email so there is no way my transcripts could've even been to Mass. yet. That's what it means. They have yet to process them.

I got the same email. I think they send that email to people who already submitted their update a while back, and haven't gotten a chance to send in their transcript.

does that transcript include grades from this semester? i got that email today, but it is because i took a couple classes this past semester at a new school, and that is the missing transcript. when i requested the transcript during finals, i had no grades on record for that school, and the lady told me that it wouldnt mail until jan 2-3. so i was not surprised that aadsas has not received it yet. however, i am going to call the school tomorrow to be sure that it was sent out.

Yeah... i got the same email yesterday.
I just requested my transcripts to be sent to AADSAS only a couple days ago.
I think they emailed everybody who did the academic upgrade.
