pls my exams are tommorrow
i have tried all i can but cant find the answers to these questions
pls help urgently

1--components of dental implants
area of placement
bone width required
degree of submersion to provide emergence profile

2--treatment of nasopalatine duct cyst

3--why are composites not put in primary posterior teeth

4--which asthma drug causes oral fungal infection

5--why do you give hydralazine with chloral hydrate

6---what causes porcelain to break off from PFM

7- best xtic of a high noble alloy

Hi whole,

Here are some of the answers (according to me):

1. ?

2. nasopalatine cysts are surgically excised, although that may not be necessary in dentate patients. However, they must be removed before fabrication of complete dentures in edentulous patient. they have a favorable prognosis, recurrence is rare.

3. composites cannot withstand the masticatory force placed on them via posterior teeth and hence are suitable only for anterior teeth. as such, amalgam is the best choice for posterior teeth.

4. asthmatic drugs are inhalers and most inhalers are corticosteroids. corticosteroids cause fungal infections as they suppress the normal oral flora in the mouth and promote growth of candida (also a normal oral flora component). thus, advise all patients to rinse thoroughly after each administration of an inhaler.

5. together, they have a wider spectrum of activity than alone.

6. stress placed on porcelain by making the porcelain too thin (laboratory error). not reducing the tooth preparation enough to ensure both metal and porcelain can fit (dentist error)

7. ? i dont understand the question.
