Hi I am 2014 applicant.

I currently have 130 credits in biochemistry. I have to take only 1 more Gen ed class (not important health-related course such as jogging or yoga) in order to receive my B.S degree which I plan to finish at the end of this year (around Dec 2013).

Will this negatively affect me since I have not received my B.S? even if is just a Gen ed course?

No not at all. You just need your degree by the time you matriculate... Aka fall 2014.

Most people apply between their junior-senior years, at which point they obviously don't have a bachelor's degree. 🙂 You will have a gap year and actually be starting later than many of your classmates. For many, dental school begins immediately after undergraduate ends.

Hope this helps!
