What type of income can an FP practicing 40-50 hr/wk urgent care expect to make?

Also, would it be realistic to establish a non-rural practice of part time non-OB FP + part time urgent care + sports medicine (following fellowship)? Or is this unrealistic/spreading too thin? I am a little on the ADD side.

most urgent care facilities pay between 65 to 85 per hour. This varies with area in the country. So, if you average 75, your looking at about 50 x 75= 3750 x 4weeks x 12 = 180000. You can burn out working urgent care at 50 hours per week.

Now, can you do the part time thing. Yes, you just have to be very organized.

EH.

Yeah... especially if you work 12 months straight with no vacation. 😉

Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone know how the job market is for UC?

Do urgent care centers employ only docs who finished FP residency. What if I just got off from serving my Flight Surgeon tour of duty in the Navy. Does that count? FS training require only 1 year of GME but you work almost like a FP/GP serving families stationed in a base 50% at a time while the rest of your time is devoted in aviation medicine.
Are there also moonlighting opportunities for Flight Surgeons? --suppose you finished your 2 year stint in the Navy.

Thanks..
