I am an international applicant from Hong Kong, so, I need the verification of my educational qualifications by the ECE before I can apply for a US dental school.

but in the description, the statement "sent directly from the issuing institutions" worries me coz the ECE requires me to send all the postsecondary qualifications, and there are loads of them and each of which were issued from different organizations. Does it mean I have visit each and every one of them, and have the official documents along with a matching form sealed and sent by the corresponding institutions directly to ECE? That would be a hustle...
🙁
I think the procedure for international applicants from different country is pretty much the same, could anyone who has come across this tell me what should I do? I would really appreciate your help, thank you!

I got this from the ECE website:
"
HONG KONG

At any time during the evaluation process, ECE reserves the right to request the following: Original documents; documents to be sent directly to ECE by issuing institutions; and/or a plan of studies that includes the units, credits, or number of hours of instruction for each subject.
•Photocopies of all official educational credentials issued in English, beginning with the final year of secondary school. Send all those which apply to your educational history: Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination; Hong Kong Advanced/Advanced Supplementary Level Examination; Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma, Master’s degree, Doctoral degree, or other credential, which may have been awarded by any postsecondary institution attended; and official grade reports/transcripts for all subjects studied and grades received for all postsecondary programs..."

Hi,
when you send the documents you need to send ONLY photocopies. Make sure that they are nicely arranged in a sequential manner. You DONOT need to send ANY original document along. See the link for details..http://ow.ly/3y1q6
The quoted version says thats ECE "reserves" the right. Just in case they find something fishy in your transcripts they would ask for it in your emails for a document to be sent in ORIGINAL. Most of the times they DONOT ask for the originals.
Help n Be Helped!!
