for a PT student.

I have a friend who graduated a DPT program. Right after graduation, she was offered jobs at 2 of the hospitals she was rotating at, pending her results on the boards....

The problem is, she just failed her 2nd test. She is obviously competent and capable of doing her job, she is well liked and good at what she does, but for some reason which I cant understand she cant pass the boards. So I need help

I am looking for any help you guys can provide:
--study schedules
--which review books to get
--the best resources/q banks, etc

Or if someone can direct me where to go, I would really appreciate it. I am a medical student myself, so I know how tough this is, but bc I am unfamiliar with the field, this is the next best option! Thanks in advance

Wow, that's really unfortunate. Those tests aren't cheap either so I'm sure you friend is pretty frustrated. Have they tried contacting their fellow classmates or program adviser for help? I am a first year student so would not be of much help especially.

well she thinks she is doing nothing wrong (I beg to differ) and she will not ask for help, which is why I am doing this.

She is using 1 review book which she basically passivly reads and than has some questions, I am not sure what though.

how come she doesn't get in contact with previous classmates and ask for some assistance?

honestly, I have no idea whats up with her or what shes doing wrong..lol, I am just trying to be somewhat supportive, and you know, try to give her some pointers that only you guys can tell me 😉 lol

She needs to take an exam prep course to really get used to how they ask the questions and how they should be answered. Which book is she studying from? I found OSullivan's the best and most comprehensive. Also, I took a practice test almost every weekend for the month prior to the test. She definitely needs to change her study habits.

What questions/aspects of PT is she struggling with? She should really focus on those and spend less time with what she already knows. With the practice tests, if she can score around 75%, she should be good for the exam.
