Urgent help needed

Hi, I have just graduated undergrad and will not be taking anymore courses. I need to get LORs but i have never spoken to any of my professors before. i live far from my uni so i will not be able to get to know them in person. Should i just go into their office and ask them to write one.? I would really appreciate some advice on what to do in this situation and how to go about doing it

Yes, do exactly that, go visit their office and ask for a letter. If you can't do that then ask through email.

I've asked four profs today and they all said no, I'm going to ask another four tomorrow. What if they all say no, what options will i have?

note` i have gotten an A in pretty much all of my sciences courses so the grade is not the issue

Did you do research with any of them? Maybe you can see if any of them need a summer research assistant, and at the end of the summer, ask them for a LOR. But if you've already graduated, it might have to be a paid position or something as you wouldn't be getting academic credit for research - not sure if the profs would be willing to do that.

I would send an email. Start it by talking about their class, how you enjoyed it/respected them as a teacher. Then talk about what you've been up to since this class (aka your desire to pursue dentistry). Then finish by asking if you could come in to their office hours to talk. If you aren't having luck at this point it might be better to approach it like. By emailing first, you will help facilitate a meeting where the teacher will be able to use both your email and the in-person interaction to assist you in the letter. It isn't easy! Try asking teachers from classes you've had recently. Perhaps they will have a better time recognizing you. PM if you want an example. I definitely drafted a couple of these emails through this process.
