Hi guys,

I really need some advise..

Is it possible to freeze the debt of a med student after 3 or 4 years, for some time? Or is it possible to transfer the debt coming from this half med education to another field of study?

Is there any solution for the med students that want to stop medicine education and want to have another path of education and profession?

If you give some advice, it really will save a life.. thank you for all you can say..

As long as you are a full time student in any field your payments will be deferred. Keep in mind that your interest will accrue during this period.

There is no way to freeze the loans, the interest continues to accumulate. What you can do is not make payments by putting your loans into forbearance or deferment. Don't stop making your payments before you get confirmation that your loans are in one of the two. A third option is IBR - income based repayment. They calculate your income and you only pay a small percentage and the government pays the rest as long as you are working in a qualifying area - can be medical or not. It is usually something public service-related.

Hope this saves your life

Thank you very much SpineBound.. I hope too..
