URGENT Need advice on new step 1 and step 2 timing.

So long story short, I had a date scheduled for early spring and it was canceled. No big deal... I rescheduled to a June date to find out it had also been canceled.

Some of my classmates will be taking step1 on time and some are in my boat. My school decided to give those affected two choices.

1) Take step 1 on some random day during third year

2) Take Step 1 and Step 2 in a 4-week study block at the end of third year


I feel very prepared for this exam. I have been exceeding my goal on practice exams. The earliest I can take it will be during my surgery rotation. With that said, should I;

A. Take step 1 on a random day during third year

B) take step 1 and step 2 in a month block after 3rd year

C) other

Looks like the earliest dates are in August. I'm in the exact situation

I think if you've had a test cancelled, they'll likely reschedule when new dates open up

i think you're too trusting of prometric, they have shown themselves to be quite incompetent

Pretty sure they'll be adding new states in June and on. You're right, probably not gonna be them rescheduling, just gotta eye the site for new openings. Not really sure what else to do at this point.
