I'm trying to take one year medical science program to enhance my grades and chance for dental school. However, I couldn't decide which program is better. Can someone please give me more info, advises or even do a comparison between Drexel's MSP, UPenn's Post-Bacc (Specialize) and Midwestern's one year Biomedical Science Program in Arizona?😕😕😕

Thank You!!!!🙂🙂

what are the prices of each program? also, what are the courses offered by each program?

Drexels MSP program is amazing and has tons of affiliations. Also the 1 year certificate may lead to an additional year for a masters If need be. Very expensive program though and fast paced. UPENN's postbac is also good. However, many schools like students whom will be coming in with a masters, and with midwesterns one year program not only do you get an MA, but It is also directly associated with a dental school. MWU-il also gives strong preference to their students. Location should be part of your decision. All programs are really good. If I had to rank for medical science based classes: Drexel>MWU>PENN...Just my opinion

drexel's msp offers undergrad level science courses for the fall semester then upper level courses for the spring. in the evening, they also offer princeton reveiw. the person who interviewed me also said there are mendatory volunteern. UPenn offers many but it depends on what you choose to take. Midwestern offers "...Courses are in disciplines including: biochemistry, molecular cell biology, genetics, histology, human anatomy (with lab), human physiology, microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, introduction to medical ethics and a capstone course. The capstone course includes preparation of a scholarly, literature-based portfolio on a topic of the student's choice (usually a disease condition) and a presentation of their topic in a research poster. In addition, students are required to take elective credits if needed to bring the total quarter credits to 15 or more credits. The elective credits, offered in a variety of disciplines, include other biomedical science courses and professional preparation courses (e.g. Health Career Planning, Medical Terminology, Learning Styles and Assessment, etc.)." For tuition, they are all very expensive but I assume Drexel has less.

I got into Drexel and will have interview with UPenn and Midwestern next week. I really like the MSP program. However, UPenn has a such great title and there is also a dental school. I live in NY so AZ is really far for me. However, compare to the MSP and Post-bacc, I do perfer the Master of Arts. I'm in such a dilemma now.
