Step number one.... Put your questions together. These barley make sense.

Question #1
Give me one reason not to tell her to "improve oral hygeine.."? Telling her to use a electronic tooth brush would fall under the guise of telling her to improver her OH. Without more details, telling her mom to deal with it doesn't make any sense either.

Question #2
Again, more details are needed. This would be situation specific. You need more details from your buddies that have taken the boards. I would say that depending on the circumstances, each option could be correct.

i would say its legally wrong. you cannot diagnose a disease and give a treatment option or advice without seeing the patient

ask the pt to take care n instruct bout oral hygiene.. i dont know how diffrent is it frm proposing electroince brush(usually given to deblitated pts) but is now widely used .
pt with turners doesnt have profund mental ******ation unlike other gentic abnormalities... so understanding instructions n comprehension is assured.

i think the key for answering the q is knowing that a turner syndrome patient has a mental ******ation.. so that is why i would go for the answer- tell the mother..

correct me if im wrong

Sure you can. In residency, 95% of the "emergency" calls I got after hours were handled entirely over the phone. If a patient has a true emergency, you need to recognize and treat it as such, but most of them can wait until morning without harming the patient.

if u see in kaplans in general pathology chapter,it says in the last line ,that females with turner syndrome has abnormal intelligence, so in my opinion, if dentist prescribes an electronic brush will be the best option, coz telling her mother will definately be related ,if the patient was cpmletely ******ed, so electronic brush will be a better choice than manual and hygiene will be taken care of by itself, coz patient is not normall intelligent but also not retarteded
agian guys this is wat i think, nybdy is more than welcome to put more light,
thnks

Sorry To Inform You My Friend Before Making Guesses Pls Check. Turners Syndrome Has Mildest Or No Mental ******ation!!!

i feel that since this patient is 45 yr old n also with turner syndrome electronic brush is agood option as every region of tooth can be cleaned convieniently
