URI Interview

I'd like to know, too! 🙂 I'll be there 1/4/2014
I've talked with current URI students as well as the admissions director and they've said on the day of your interview, you are given a tour of the facility, talk with current students and have a one-on-one interview with one of the professors. I've heard the interview is pretty relaxed. Hope this helps 🙂

Has anyone received a confirmation email for the interview? I got my day and time all set up but thought an email was going to be sent with where to go, how to get there, etc.
Last year there was sent the day after I scheduled my interview. Not sure about this year, though. I am under the impression that URI is still finalizing interview slots and then they will send them all out at once, but I could be completely wrong. If anyone still needs directions on how to get there, I can dig through my emails to put it here.

What did everyone think of the program after the interviews?
I was surprised at how much I really liked the program. To be honest, I went into the interview not knowing too much about URI at all but I was really impressed with the facilities and the staff. Everyone there seemed super cool and the building that houses the PT department was certainly small, but still impressive. Definitely one of the better programs I've seen
I was very impressed (but feel like I didn't do too well in the interview). The faculty was excellent, as were the facilities. I can only hope I get in!
I really enjoyed my time there and I hope I get in! I really liked how the student-faculty dynamic was, it made it seem like a pretty laid back yet professional atmosphere. I also liked how close all the students seemed to be to each other. If I am lucky enough to get in I'll probably end up attending.
I'm getting very impatient waiting to hear from them! Has anyone been contacted?

I know, it's a very nerve wrecking process. Just try and stay optimistic! It's still early. It hasn't even been a week since they finished interviewing 🙂.

I just had an online interview today. Had two 20-30 minute interviews with two different faculty members, then I spoke with a current student there. I was a bit nervous since it was my first interview of the application cycle, but I think it went well overall, besides the hiccups from the slow internet.
I was informed that by next Monday, people will hear either good news or bad news. Good news if you are accepted in the first wave, bad news if you were declined. If you hear nothing at all, you would probably be on the waiting list, and every two weeks it would perhaps be your turn to be notified of acceptance.

Congratulations on your acceptance! I didn't know they were notifying people today. I was under the impression that all notices were sent out yesterday. Time to get my hopes up and wait for an hour or two to see what happens.

They didn't give me any information that already hasn't been posted here. All they said was that an official acceptance email and physical letter were to follow

I have not. I'm assuming those that haven't heard that they are accepted or rejected are put on the wait list. Ahhh the waiting game continues.
I recently called as well and they told me the same thing, that they are waiting to hear back from their initial offers and will send out the rejections and let you know if you are on the waitlsit. They told me that I was on the waitlist....at least it wasnt a rejection....
