So, I know I'm probably starting a fire here, but does anyone get why in the MCAT discussion so many people are like, "hey man.. you're an underrepresented minority and scored a 21 on the MCAT... you'll have no problem getting in" I feel like that kind of sucks. It's like, I want minorities to be represented, but why is it okay for them to get lower scores? I really have nothing against there being an equal number of different ethnicities in graduate programs, but does this mean that because I'm a white female, I have to do better on the MCAT just to practice medicine... how does that qualify anyone as a good physician. This topic really fires me up.... will someone help me out and put me at ease 🙂
