Where have URM's been rejected from so far...im asking becasue schools usually give some preference to URM's to increase diversity, but if they ahve already started rejecting average/above average URMs then theres no use continuing to apply to those places
are you implying there's a cap to the # of qualified URMs that can be interviewed and accepted? 😕

BTW, this is the best strategy for selecting schools....

Are you trying to being an arse?

This should be good. Or exceedingly stupid, however you choose to look at it.if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all
Oh, how trite.🙄
i have my reasons for needing info...dont hate because your OVER represented
Overrepresented doesn't mean they didn't have to work just as hard to get where they're at...try again.

Ok, it's "Don't hate because you're OVERrepresented." Now, don't use poor grammar because you are underrepresented. Do you see how ridiculous gross logic leaps and generalizations sound? To answer your question, this semi-URM has not been rejected from any of my schools yet. You can get an exact list from mdapps.
A pre-emptive reminder that if this thread breaks down into whether or not AA is justified or not, it will be closed or moved.
OP, to answer your (real) question, med schools do not have a set number of seats that they set aside to give out to URMs. Furthermore, practically no schools have sent rejection letters yet unless someone just flat-out missed their stat cutoffs, so there's no useful data out there for you. Your attempt to game the system will not work.

Well it's technically true, I think most schools have a minimum number that they wish to reach with URMs. They'll certainly accept additional qualified URMs, but they probably won't give them preferential treatment once they've reached their quota.

Agreed. It's very early in the application season. Only people getting rejected now are those that didn't have a shot.

It might help to identify what kind of URM you are. Black, Mexican-American, Native American or mainland Puerto Rican? Some schools might be looking for more Native Americans while others are looking for more blacks.

thread fail. 👎

Some people might find that information helpful.
One's racial or ethnic heritage could be a deal breaker.
Being a Caucasian male or an Asian male might be a negative at some schools because there's not enough diversity.
