Seriously guys? Who cares. I am a URM and by saying that if one has a lower gpa they will not do well in med school is just judging someone by their past mistakes and not looking at the big picture. Yes I can see why med schools look at URM differently, because we have it HARDER a lot of the time. Don't get me wrong, I know some very affluent URM but I am not one of them. I had to work my entire undergrad, help my single mother, and my father wouldn't pay for a dime of my college education. Heck, I was lucky to have him buy me a book or two. Also, there are no minority professors in my pre med program. Isn't THAT disturbing? Where's the diversity. I am ALL for diversity and it's ironic that most of my friends who are "minority" end up failing orgo 1 or 2 at some point. Very Very Very smart people. Why? hmmmm you answer : /
