does anyone know how difficult it is to get a position, what about those unaccredited programs, is that worth it or a waste of time?
and compared to gyn onc. which is easier to get in?

So no one has any info on urogyn?

The only uro-gyn person I've talked to said that you should avoid the unaccredited programs. She held them in very low esteem. I don't know for sure, but I'd bet anything that the unaccredited programs are easier to get into.

thanks for the reply!

I was told by the chair of our department that pelvic floor/urogyn is not an accredited fellowship yet (like MFM,REI,Gyn/Onc), but will likely be in upcoming years. People who do these fellowships now will be grandfathered in for accreditation.

Our Program recevied ABOG accredetation. There is 1st year Fellow position available at our place, which is Mout Sinai Shcool of Medicine Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Atlantic Health, Morristown, NJ. Please follow link for more info:

This is an accredited fellowship. It is becoming more competitive since it is now combined with Urology. There are Urology based fellowships as well as OBGYN based fellowships but both specialties are elgible to apply for both. It is also now an early match which happens in August.
