with the Brexit crisis looming, i wanted to transfer all cvs stocks and other large cap small cap etc that fluctuates with stock markets all transfer to my US Bond index. i currently have small portions in US Bond index and i've been able to transfer back n forth between stocks and bonds in the past. but somehow today Future Fund doesn't give me that option. i cannot select to transfer to US Bond index where it is more safe from stock turmoil, especially with Brexit next week. does anyone know what's going on? why US Bond index is removed from the list of choices? US Bond Index are known safe haven from stock turmoil, but instead i'm now forced to select to transfer all my funds into Diversified Bond. what's going on? is it more CVS bullshi/t? or is this a Future Funds bullcra/p?

Debt supercycles resemble the stages of a star's life. For the bulk of a star's life nuclear fusion is exothermic much like credit initially results in more wealth produced than borrowed.

But at the end of a star's life all that is left is iron. Fusing iron nuclei is endothermic much like at the end of a credit supercycle taking on more debt actually results in wealth destruction. That is what Gross is talking about.

So we can add debt at rate faster than our income gains in perpetuity?

There's a scene in The Big Short in which Mark Baum is interviewing some loan originators at the height of the subprime bubble. Mouth agape he's amazed how so many are oblivious to the bubble. That's how I feel. It's just that people are stupid. The signs are everywhere as to what will unfold. Yet in the aftermath, they'll all say "How could we have known?"

Who cares about Brexit? Laughable idea to time the market short term. In the very long time, businesses make profit, if you own part of it, you make profit. That's all you need to know.

i'm more worried about the US Bond Index. its a safe haven from market turmoil. now Future Fund has removed it completely from the list of choices you can invest in.

Why would u want it anyway? It's not as safe a haven as you think. Not much of a haven if the fed is keeping rates near zero, affecting yields.
The true havens right now are gold, the dollar, and believe it or not, in a lot of ways the market itself. So you may be better off staying put....well as long as the fed keeps playing this game of chicken with public.
Think about it, there is a reason they took it out. They see the picture playing out and probably deem it not an efficient investment vehicle in the current climate...
