I'm an international student who want to become a PT.
I know Med/Dent/Phar schools are really strict about accepting international students, but I would like to know if PT/OT schools also require US citizenship for admission.
Thanks!

I am surprised to hear that some med/dental/pharm schools are strict about it. However, I am a foreign student and just got accepted to more than one PT school for next year. However, I did my undergraduate here in the US, so I am not sure how would it work if you got your bachelors somewhere else.

I don't think there are any restrictions but I know that they don't recommend you practicing PT in another country after you get your degree from a U.S. university/college.

I know that medical schools are really strict about accepting international students. Some medical schools declare that they do not accept international students at all. I do not know how about PT school? I am international student too. I am applying PT school this year. I hope they are not too strict.

Can you tell me which schools you are accepted into? I am foreign student too. I am looking for some foreign student friendly PT school. Thanks.

Honestly, all schools that are contacted where friendly to that aspect. A lot of them even have on their website a claim saying that they do not discriminate and are open to any student. More specifically in my case, I got accepted into PITT and UINDY, and got called for interviews at MGH and Chatham.
