i applied as a PR and did just fine. i woudln't sweat it too much. some schools want copies of ur PR card, but that's about it. let me know if u have any other questions.
I also applied as PR (I'm Cuban), but beware I had some questions of why I had not done my citizenship and if I was interested in "adapting to the US" or just living apart or whatever...but that was a weird interview altogether...got waitlisted as I expected...
Just say you're doing your US citizenship if they get too annoying...they tend to dislike Canadian PR who live in the US b/c they think they are taking advantage of US benefits with no intent to become citizens...whatever.
