I will be a US Med school graduate, but really want to explore options for residency in Canada. After perusing through some of the Canadian residency stuff I'm a little confused as to whether it's possible/feasible for a US med graduate to match in a Canadian residency program. It seems like you would have to go through the process as an IMG, which is a little confusing since several medical schools in Canada are AAMC accredited. I'm just a little lost and hope someone could clarify.

Thanks!

If you are a US med school graduate you don't have to enter as a IMG you are considered a CMG. Just go through the CaRMS process.

If you NOT canadian, you cannot apply to residency in Canada.
