hi, i' m a canadian, I've read some threads on this forum about how bad of joing the US force as a physician. I'm wondering if anyone is currently a Medical officer of the Canadian Military and if you are like the job, or is it just like the US system?🙂tons of thanks!

I have not been in any military except the US military, but after talking to several medical officers in the British and Australian Navy's I can assure that we don't have a monopoly on stupidity.

They have many of the same problems that we have, and some others as well.

British are more likely to pull you out of a residency for a deployment than the US is.

As I mentioned, I don't know anything about the Canadian military, other than they do have some really goofy rules about who can have access to your medical record. EG, even as an officer, you can't hand carry your own record, it has to be sent from facility to facility by some other means, such that you can never read or edit it yourself.
