Congrats! I got my acceptance today as well. I had my interview on 2/11 as well. After hearing so many rejections, this made my day for sure. 🙂

I have to tell the story....
My cum gpa at UCI is 3.1, which is not that bad considering bio at UCI is extremelyyyyyy hard. It wouldn't have hurt if my grades were better though. So anyway, I decided to apply for pharmacy as soon as the apps came out.. I think i was file #37 at USC or something. I didnt get an interview until 2/11, probably because of my grades.... and by then I had already gotten into Touro University and Shenandoah, and had sent my $2000 deposit to Touro. My boyfriend, who is pre-dental has accepted USC's offer, so he's going there, unless he gets into UCSF. So until yesterday, I had been hoping/praying/waiting for him to get into UCSF so we can be somewhat close since Touro is in the bay area and I thought I had no chance at USC after being put on active consideration.
Funny thing is, the time I got my interview letter from USC i was completely surprised, and when I got my acceptance package yesterday, I was blown away....
I never thought it could happen to me..
For all you people who want to know my stats:
3.1 cum gpa at UC Irvine
~ 2 years retail pharmacy experience
2 years research at UCI pharmacology/neurobiology lab
don't lose faith people!!!!!!!!
now i just have to hope my bf doesnt get into ucsf.... hahhaa..... (jk).

no there was nothing about how many people got accepted this time, but when i had gotten my "active consideration" letter back in early march it said that they had accepted 24/148 people from my 2/11 interview.

congrats on your acceptance! i'm at UCi right now as a chem major and i know how tough those bio classes are. which lab did you work at?

I was told that once you get on the waitlist, it's no longer about your gpa; and that it's all about how many of the pre-reqs u have completed. I still have one this semester and two in the summer to take. So i guess if i'm waitlisted, i'll be somewhere on the bottom since i know there's plenty of ppl on the list who are done with all their classes.

I think it depends on who you have. The student interviewer that I had seemed disinterested the whole time, but after I started asking him questions about his experiences and he started to lighten up.
The interview for me was not as short as people said. I just kept asking questions and they were really nice in answering all of them without even looking at their watches once.
But I guess the stress level depends on how much you prepared for the interview and the interviewer.
