Has anyone else been interviewed at USC...and if so, when do they start giving out acceptance/waitlist/rejections? I interviewed there last month but I can't remember if they do rolling admissions or wait until spring to make their decision.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide

usc is not rolling. but i'm not sure when they start sending out decisions.

how misleading!!!
from what i hear, usc is non-rolling. they don't decide until they've interviewed everyone (~500 interviews). but i've also heard they'll let in a few of the superbs before everyone's interviewed. earliest you'll hear is dec/jan

i thought only mstp was non-rolling. usually the md only has a turnaround of 4 weeks, but they might start rolling after a certain date, like pitt for example. i interviewed pretty early and it's been about 5 weeks and nothing so i dunno. i was hoping the decision would come quick so that i wouldn't have to go to some places in december.

today, it's been 6 weeks for me. so, who knows...
let's hope december brings good news

I got my rejection pre-secondary! I guess they didn't like something 🙁

How wicked would it have been to be able to go to school and play golf pretty much all year round!

I don't know about golfing (for me at least), but there is a surfing club there. One of our tour guides had just come back from the beach (it was in September). Gotta love CA! 😀

hey wusup...

does USC interview predominantly in the spring??

thanks

Keck does about 60% of their interviews in the spring. As for when you will from Keck, a few people will hear in december, the rest in feb or march. (Not sure on the feb one)

I thought they give a secondary to everyone? they screen?

Good point. I would call to see if it was a mistake. (about not getting a secondary)

FYI: i have heard of a few USC undergrads getting acceptances recently...

BIG GAME TODAY! FIGHT ON!

🙂 🙂 😍

Congrat...errr....whoops... nevermind

Dude, they're accepting. Postmarks are 11/27.

Depends on what you like man. Personal preferences.

also depends on where you get in...

Bounty, I interviewed 10/16 and rec'd notice of acceptance on 11/29

hey congrats to everyone who got accepted to USC so far
is it tough to get into USC out of state? what are the averages for USC? if you are out of state do you need higher that the average?

well USC is private so i don't think there is a preference, but i dunno, i'm just speculating. averages for USC are sort of low because they have the high school thingy and that tends to lower their averages a bit.

Although there are a few B/MD's who have below average numbers, plenty B/MDs there have way above average numbers... around 37+ MCATs and 3.8+ GPAs... i think the B/MD average entering Keck would be comparable to the average of the rest of the class.

you're probably right DDD. just your and dr kevin's stats alone probably tip the scales upward. i wonder why the avg stats for usc are low then. i was guessing it was the B/MDs that caused it, but if that's not true then it's odd, esp. since the avgs are for accepted students, not enrolled. (i.e. the high scorers in the B/MD class could have gone to harvard or something and that would lead to lower avg stats if the stats counted only "enrolled" students.) i'm not being very concise but yall know what i'm sayin

What is the most relaible source for these sats? I do not know if I would trust News Week. They seem to be too low compared with the results we see being accepted.

actually, you bring up a good point--- i don't know that we are even included in the statistics.... either way, Keck is an awesome school- a place where u can see it all and bask in the sunshine of socal. You will make so many awesome connections at Keck... the "SC family" is defintely for real.

not that this is totally on topic but i was at usc last week and totally loved it. it seems like a really nice school, and the students were great too. my family is all about ucla so they are offended that i am even considering it, but overall i actually liked it even more than the uc i interviewed at.
