USC AEGD stipend?

I know this is probly a long shot, but does anyone happen to know a ballpark figure on how much stipend USC gives for AEGD residents.

A friend of mine has an interview, but this is out of state for him, and if the tuition is too high, he is considering not going for the interview.

At the interview, a resident told me they are getting paid $37k. No taxes on it because it's considered a scholarship or something. Very high paying for an AEGD.
