Does anyone know what the USC file number stands for. I am not sure if this number is given to student depending on when they submitted their application
Hmmm, I'm not sure. Because a bunch of the people who turned their supp in around August said they had numbers in the 1300 and 1400's. I turned mines in at the beginning of October and I have a low 1300 number. What numbers do you guys have and when did you turn it in? Maybe we can find a correlation somehow 😛 although I'm thinking it's random (although I don't get that either).
I really doubt that because they have rolling admissions. So when they admit people as they get apps, you're going to have people with last names at the beginning of the alphabet and inbetween applicants they already have. So that would just screw up their alphabetical system 😛

I submitted my PharmCAS app and supplemental on October 9. I never received a confirmation letter so I emailed USC this past week. They said my file was complete and that I had a file number in the low 1300's too. I doubt the file number is an indication of rank either as I know I am not nearly as competitive as the people on this forum.
they said my file number is 1800 something, I send my supplement on the beginning of September. woo, I wonder if some other people are in the 1800 range. 😳
Well I called USC for another question and just decided to ask this question as well (this was about a month ago) and the lady gave a friendly laugh and said no.. it doesn't mean anything. I asked if it was based on a ranking system or something like that.
