For those going to USC, or who have experience in the area, is Culver City or South Pasadena a better place to live (with a small family) considering housing and traffic?

Additionally, if you can comment, how is the public transportation from Pasadena? Specifically the Gold line and the Red line?

Many of my classmates that have families live in South Pas (with others in random spots away from campus). Some drive, while others take the metro no problem. Both South Pas and Culver City are much much better places to live if you have a family.

I live in South Pasadena it is the best. I take the Gold line in to school every day. If you need help finding a place here let me know. My wife and I and the million other D-school students love it here.
