It might be a good idea to check out Conquest Housing,Nupac Apartments,Cal student housing....these places are in and around the campus area....U can also check out craigs list....I dont know much about usc housing but i heard theres a long waiting list and it difficult to get a place there...
Important : try to avoid apartments on vermont .Its better to look on hoover and adams.
If u dont mind living a little away from campus area and if u are going to drive to school then the more u go further from campus towards downtown the better apartments are available...
