Hey everyone, I just received an email today for an interview at USC!! To those of you that have interviewed there, how long does it take for them to respond after the interview with an acceptance or rejection? And how many days do they give you to put down the 3000 deposit? We can only put down a deposit for ONE school at a time correct? Thank you very much!!

you can put down as many deposits as you want. USC's is $500. you have 30 days after you get accepted at this point. the adcom meets every 2 weeks.

i got an invite as well, what day did you choose?

I got the invite...i'm probably going to schedule for feb 8th, but I might withdraw. For some reason it seems like most people dont have much to say about USC, and if they do its usually negative, and i dont know if I want to spend the money on a flight/hotel...i want to make the decision as soon as possible so as to maybe open up a spot for someone else.

I got in last year and decided to decline and reapply to other schools. I just got a bad feeling from the school and it didn't help much when the students told me I shouldn't go there. They took about 2 weeks to tell me I was in.

that's weird because it says on their website that the deposit is $3000. is it $500 first and then more later on?

about 2 weeks? that's pretty fast. thanks for the info 🙂 i'm very interested in USC despite what people say. but i'll see for myself during the interview. for the people going on the 8th, i'll see ya there. good luck!

This is just me. But I see you got accepted to NYU. I got accepted to both USC and NYU. I wish I would have saved my time and money not even applying to USC. I would choose NYU>>USC.
NYU has better facilities than USC. USC is good if you've dreamed about going to USC your whole life, or dont get in anywhere else. Besides USC is more expensive than NYU. This is just me. They have a nice campus, but have a hard time getting the right patients into the door. If they changed their program to 50/50 Lecture/PBL it would improve their school a lot. I only talked to one person at USC who liked the PBL, everyone else was like dont go here if your parents aren't paying for it, or you dont like to learn by yourself.

i'm thinking pretty much the same way. I'm just trying to gather some info and see if PBL is in any way, shape, or form an advantage...seems to me like a 100% PBL curriculum is just a very ineffective means of teaching....am i wrong?

1 Billion dollars for no teachers 👍

In the near future USC students will not have to show up to school. USC will have its own tv channel to teach dentistry to students. Poor patients.
