Does anyone know how many pre-dec interviews USC will give out and when they will stop giving pre-dec interviews?

I can't give specific answers but word on the street is that they started interviews earlier this year, and as such, will be giving out more pre-Dec 1st interviews this year as compared to earlier cycles.

Just speaking in terms of the math...they have 12 interview days (yes they started already in September and go through Dec 4th; 11 interview days pre dec 1st if you want to get technical) and each interview day is supposed to have 30 interviewees...so 360 people are being interviewed.

Do you guys have any information about the number of people USC accepts on December 1st? Since they take 144 applicants, I wonder whether they give admissions to about 50% of the interviewed applicants, or whether they send more than 144 admissions because they are some who get multiple admissions! Do you guys have any information about the number of people USC accepts on December 1st?

I don't know how anyone on SDN would know admissions information from USC especially questions on the # of acceptances pre-dec 1st.

It's probably safe to assume that if your GPA is 3.7 and DAT 20+ you will likely get accepted.

Just for reference the adcom actually made a big deal about community service and pointed out how their DAT stats are more average. I actually talked to quite a few interviewees who's stats never broke the 20 mark in any section yet were being considered for admission. I'm not saying that they'll 100% get accepted only that the admissions committee clearly selected them out of the applicant pool!

My guess is that USC will interview 150 students before december. THEY HAVE 6 INTERVIEW DATES BEFORE DECEMBER; 20 STUDENTS ON 3 DATES AND 30 STUDENTS ON THE OTHER 3 DATES. They will try to fill 36 seats by December (1/4 of the class). So how many acceptances will be offered on December 1st?

I would say probably 60-72 (possibly more) which would give ~40% chance of getting an offer if interviewed pre-December.

What does everyone else think?? Does this sound reasonable?

They told us that they accept around 36 interviewees Dec. 1st (~25% of their class), and then continue accepting about the same number each month following until their slots are filled. If you get an interview at USC, your chances are good that you'll get accepted. Just be yourself in the interview.

They have to accept more than 36 in order to fill 36 seats.. many ppl will decline the offer to go elsewhere.. the real question is how many do they actually accept to fill 36 seats?
