USC Residential DPT Fall 2020 Start, Class of 2023

Hi everyone! I've committed to USC's residential DPT program starting this August 2020. I figured I'd start a thread to see if anyone else has committed to USC as well, and if so, were you able to attend the open house? I wasn't able to attend but I'd love to know what you thought about the campus and program.

Also, if there are any current/past USC DPT students seeing this, I'd love to know your thoughts on the program and the clinical rotation situation. I will be long-distance with my fiance and am really, really hoping to do as many clinicals as I can up in the Bay Area.

Open to hearing general thoughts on the program too!

I’m still deciding between USC and one other program, but I put down my first deposit. I also was not able to attend the open house in January, but will be attending the second one on the 22nd of this month and am looking forward to it. I live in Ohio and have never been to California!

Congrats! I didn't know there was another open house this month. Did you get an email for it?

I emailed Virginia to ask about setting up a personal tour/meeting and she sent me the info for this next open house to see if that would work for me at all!

I was able to attend the second open house in February and absolutely loved it. I made my decision and will be attending USC this fall

Amazing, congrats!! I actually got accepted to UW in Seattle, which would mean that my fiance can move with me instead of us having to be long distance. So most likely I'll be attending UW. But congrats on USC!!!

I just got my USC acceptance, will most likely be attending over MSMU. Have they released any information about the cohort? or are there facebook groups?

They have not and I do not believe there is one yet. Congrats though! Are you from California?

Both my cumulative and prereq gpa was 3.4ish
150 verbal 155 quant 4.5 writing
1000 hrs outpatient at 2 sites, 72 inpatient

If you're a female and interested in living in Currie Hall next year in a 4 bed/4 bath, let me know! I prematurely signed a lease with them but am hoping to stay with my folks in the area instead.

Let me know if you're interested (I know they have open spaces but if you want to mention my name as a way to still take over my lease, I would really appreciate it)! Also I should note that I am currently an MS1 so I can't particularly answer questions about your program, but if you want to know more about the area around the HSC campus/ the culture, feel free to message me!
