Interviewing USC School of Dentistry Class of 2030 Interview/Acceptance Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Good to see they actually don't have a plan for this. Shows the bill's efficacy.

I got verified early July and still have not received a kira. Should I start getting worried? Is anyone in a similar situation?

I’ve heard that they are prioritizing higher stats. For example, if you applied and got verified in September with a 4.0 and 30 on dat, you would get a sooner Kira and interview compared to someone who applied the first week of June with a 3.0 and 16 dat.

Anyone interview at USC this cycle? How are going to pay for it? Was there an interview presentation discussing financing options?

Respectfully, your concern about costs and finances are valid but repetitively posting the same question and bringing up the same topic is not helpful, and IS discouraging.
Let’s keep the discussion about the current cycle’s timeline and helpful information.
We get it, dental school is expensive, ESPECIALLY USC, but people make informed decisions based on their financial and personal circumstances.
Thank you

but people make informed decisions based on their financial and personal circumstances.
But do they really? It seems to me just about every predent is hyper focused on getting in, with the thought they’ll figure out how to pay for it later.

Respectfully, I disagree with you concerning your position that people make informed decisions. Too many do not make informed decisions. Too many will commit to indenture servitude without knowing it.

And you didn't respond to my questions - Did you interview at USC? If so, what financing options were presented and how would they be manageable.

Respectfully,
Sigma

With all due respect, people whose pre-frontal cortex haven't developed and have ZERO financial experience whatsoever can't make an "informed" decision about clearly committing financial suicide since the only rational decision is not attending dental school at this price. This is the only topic that matters in this thread.

Has anyone received any interviews lately? Submitted my Kira a couple weeks ago and still silent.

How soon after Kira did people hear about an interview ?

How are you guys all planning on paying for USC? What will you do without IBR? What information has USC given you?

Also posted on our articles site.

Do they send out Kira's post December? I applied early July and still haven't received one : (. I was also going to send a letter of interest soon.

Did anyone finish the kira in October and hear back yet for an interview?

I received Kira invite today! I was wondering if USC sends Kira to everyone or is it only by invitation.
Any help and tips is appreciated 🙏🏼
