Hi All,

I have already got an acceptance in USC.I want to know, if given a choice, which school is better USC or UCLA???All the pros & cons........
I am hoping to get some advice on that one.i would appreciate if people in these schools right now or past students, could throw some light on this.

thanks in advance,
DENTZY

UCLA is any day better than USC. Prospects in UCLA are much better than USC. People at USC say that UCLA or UCSF, LLU are better than USC. UOP also better than USC but its too hard on u financially.

what r the pros and cons of joining state or private colleges

Thanks Virus for your opinion. But you make it sound as if USC is right at the bottom.Well, I've never heard that way as I have met students at USC & they are pretty happy with the large patient exposure they get.
This program is not good for those who are not PBL inclined, i would say.

Infact, I've heard so many good things that I am weighing it with UCLA....so you can imagine.
Some people even say they would prefer USC over UCLA.That is the reason I want to know which is better in terms of education, patient pool ,expenses etc etc.

Hey ,

I'm not sure if i have the right to say this but i have heard that the patient pool in UCLA sucks .I've heard research wise it is ok .......but otherwise no patient exposure at all .I've heard most students from UCLA go intoAEGD progs after graduaton coz they still feel inadequately exposed .No offense to anybody .....this is what i've heard

USC i have a friend going there she says it prepares u to handle all sorts of cases by the time u graduate ...tremendous patient pool .PBL is a little different but if u are comfortable with it u will like it .The requirements and prog is vvv rigorous thats why most of their students complain ...but my friend is extremely happy with how much she has learnt there.

The area is not very safe ....just have to be careful around campus but i guess every big city the Downtown is like that .

Hope this helps ..............i got into USC too lets see what happens.
