USC will take a while. Your application goes through many "rounds" of evaluation before you're granted an interview.

so exactly how long does it take, i mean its almost mid august... do they at least start reading the apps. over the summer or do they begin their process in sept.? 😕

Last year the first interview date was on 10/10 and the next was on 10/13. e-mails went out on 10/7 to invite interviewees for those dates.

I called USC and they informed me that they won't start processing or I guess review the applications until September...here's waiting...

USC won't start reviewing applications until September. As ShawnOne said, the first interview invites were 10/10 and 10/13. However, you have to pass the Third round before you could receive the interview invites. It is a long trip, but worths it.
