Usf, nova, fgcu????

Getting anxious and nervous haven't heard back anything yet from any!! Info would be helpful.

I got a denial letter from USF 🙁 but nothing from the other two....stressing me out!!
 
When did you get the letter? And I haven't heard jack squat from any of them yet...what were your stats? And sorry you'll get in no worries
 
I got it last wednesday! I know other people still waiting also

GRE: 307, V: 148, Q: 159, W: 3.5
GPA: 3.3
 
I mean you had good grades and stuff and gre didnt count agaisnt you either and idk why they say February 1st when you don't get anything at that time you know
 
I received an acceptance letter to USF last week, but have gotten into other schools. I sent back the paperwork declining their offer, so hopefully that will open up a spot for someone else! Good luck!
 
I received an acceptance letter to NOVA late November. I had my application in September. Here are my stats (approximately): Overall GPA 3.85 Pre-req GPA 3.6 Hours 250 GRE: Verbal 151 Math 157

Yeah it does I have little lower on the GRE but still haven't heard anything but th ask you so much.
 
My stats were :
Overall GPA- 3.9
PreReq GPA- 3.76
GRE : 149V 157Q 4.5 AW
About 120 hours of volunteering in outpatient, inpatient, pediatrics, trauma
 
Still haven't heard anything from University of south Florida or Florida gulf coast university.....nova on waiting list most likely from what I have heard. Any info would be grateful
 
Tonylopez: I would call USF I know someone who had to call and they were on a waiting list! But I still haven't heard from fgcu or nova
 
I didn't get in usf but my stats are

GPA: 3.3
GRE: V: 149 Q: 159 W: 3.5
Volunteer: about 175 in orthopedics, geriatrics, sports, aquatherapy, active military
 
I just got a letter today from FGCU saying that my ptcas and FGCU Apps were received and processed. I got rejected from USF but already got accepted to Nova so I'm happy 🙂
 
I finally got a hold of someone at USF. Took me a couple days since no one wants to answer. The guy said that they sent out letters of acceptance and denials, therefore, if you did not receive a letter as I didn't, we would be on the waiting list. He then informed me that out of the 800 applications they received only 149 were eligible. 40 students were offered a seat. So that leaves 100 plus of us to fight for a seat if it opens up. This sucks, although the guy kinda confused me and stated that he couldn't tell me much besides that and that 9-11 students last year on waiting list were not talked to. So who knows.


I'm still waiting to hear from NOVA, my GRE is still
Being graded so hopefully they get it soon.

USF is a tricky place to get in...I wasn't eligible because of matriculation..prerequisites have to be done 5 years from the day you pass the class...I graduated in 2011 and my first prereq classes were done in 2008 so that was the problem for me. I have my degree in biology but for USF their demands are different. Still waiting for FGCU monastn5 what are your stats?
 
FGCU admission office told me that they would be reviewing material over the month of February and then they would be sending out acceptance letters and all that
 
I don't know much about the USF program, I was denied from USF, but I heard from some other people that they you are in the same classes the first year or so with med students, PA students and so on so the course work is not directed towards PT and it is harder than it should be. Also I have heard that the school is not in the best area of Tampa.
 
Just received a letter from USF to be an alternate. Letter was dated the 12th and they want a response in 10 days. I will be declining since I have an acceptance at another program.

I was accepted to UNF and USF. USF called me on 2-13 to inform me and I received a letter in the next couple of days. They gave me 10 days to respond and I will be denying, so hopefully someone else will be accepted! I personally do not like USF, I currently go there and it's just not the place for me. As for their program, they have a few full-time professors but most are adjuncts. The first year the students are lumped with the pre-med students. They have a larger class size of 36. I shadowed at the clinic they have on campus and did not enjoy it at all. I know that some students love it though so don't take my word on everything! It personally just isn't the school for me.
