I am hesitant to post, as I understand that this subject may have been discussed. However, while I plan to continue to take in all the information available on SDN, there is so much that it can be overwhelming and I am asking for only some direction to frame my continued research.

During the upcoming week, I am going to discuss post-baccalaureate options with a member of the University of South Florida's Honors College / School of Medicine faculty. I am an alumnus of USF with a non-science degree. I am hoping that any advice here may ensure I do not miss anything during the upcoming discussion.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.83 with dual majors, international studies and religious studies. I also developed, defended, and published a senior thesis on genocide prevention as an undergrad. I am also an Honorably Discharged combat veteran of the US Army, if that adds to my admission credits. I am currently 27 years old. I have recently become inspired to pursue medicine academically and professionally because of the superior orthopedic care I received after a life-altering injury.

My intent is enroll back at USF to seek a second bachelor's degree in Pre-Med so as to complete the courses required by Med Schools; courses that I failed to take as an undergraduate.

I plan to inquire as to whether this is the best plan toward my objective: eventual acceptance to a School of Medicine. I plan to also ask about how financial aid works for post-baccalaureate students. I am also hoping the faculty member may ashed light into my prospects of getting accepted into USF's Pre-Med program as a post-baccalaureate student...

Is there anything I am missing?

I apologize for my lack of concision but appreciate any guidance that may be provided.

Thank you.
