Using 2015 MCAT Study Materials for 2018 MCAT

Does anyone have some comments about how well the 2015 MCAT prep books (like Kaplan) will align with the 2018 MCAT?

From what I understand, 2015 materials were written in 2014, before the MCAT changed. The authors were flying blind. I personally decided that all the books I get will be the latest version. I figure spending a little more now is worth it compared to application costs.
