Hi coding gurus,

I know we frequently use 90792 for initial outpatient evals--can we also use 90792 for initial ED consult or inpatient consult evaluations?

Yep, you can use it anywhere you do a psych diagnostic evaluation. With the 2021 E&M changes we have now shifted to use 90792 for almost all initial consults and also inpatient admissions.
