Would it be okay to use the ACS study guides to study for the DAT chem portions? Just as a supplement to my GChem textbook.

The two study guides for O/Gchem are there

ALSO, does Destroyer actually have learning information to teach you or is it just a bunch of practice problems?

Also, what year Destroyer should I get and why/whats the difference between the years

ACS is a good guide for review but i recommend Chad's videos (if you can pay for it) and notes from your Organic class letctures (if you have saved any 🙂)

It really does not matter what year (destroyer) you get as it deal with the basic question type that test for the clarity of particular concept. So any year would do fine but if you really are buying then why not go for the latest version as it might have few new questions.

I recommend you do destroyer as practice test than study guide (Class notes are still working out best for me)

I am in the middle of creating a blog. My newest post is a general study plan for Gen-Chem and O-Chem. These plans utilize the ACS book and the chemistry sections of the DAT Destroyer. Check it out and let me know what u think!

ACS + DESTROYER + Textbook = 👍

ACS= 5-10 sample problems per section
DAT DESTROYER = a BUNCH of problems w/ detailed explanations (the explanations are a great way to learn)
Textbook = fills in any gaps
