To any current dental students: my lady😍 offered to buy me an eReader for Valentines day yesterday. It was a very kind offer, but I only want to accept it if I will get use of it in school. Do any of you have classmates who use an eReader? I would only be interested in one of the color models (e.g. the nook). Are dschool textbooks available as electronic copies? Are they significantly less expensive than the burly hardcovers? Good idea or bad idea?

I'm also curious about this. I know Colorado uses vital source for textbooks. Does anyone know if these can be put on a nook/kindle? I really want one, but I'll probably only buy it if I can put my textbooks on it. Thanks!

You could for sure use the eReader in Dental School but it would be more for leisure reading. You can get some text books as ebooks but to be honest most of the time you don't have time to read the text books. Most schools will give you notes, power points, summaries... that will take the place of text books. So the eReader would be nice IN dental school but not FOR dental school.
