Is it necessary to go through Campbell's or would Cliff's AP bio suffice? If you recommend using it, how much of it and which sections for the DAT? Are the end of chapter exams good to use?

All the questions are based off of that book, but honestly by the time you finish studying from it, you'll have forgotten much of what you learned. I would mainly back up your basic biology knowledge with specific facts from Cliff's or Barron's AP bio prep books. If you lack knowledge in certain areas, definitely go through the chapters in Campbell and Reece.

I would recommend using Campbell's if you haven't taken a lot of biology courses. But be sure to also go through Barron's or Cliffs AP Bio. I used Campbells for my studies and thought everything except the ecology unit at the end was useful. I know a lot of people say it's overload for the DAT but I was really worried for the Bio section so I just told myself "better safe than sorry" and went through Campbells.

Whatd you end with on the bio section?
