Just started studying for the OAT and am writing in mid-November. Still need to call in to schedule my appointment and I am freaking out! (see post below). I have heard many scattered things about the QR section on the OAT, not that I am incredibly worried about it since math has always been my strong point. "Reasoning", however, is another thing entirely - Haha!

I have heard many people say that SAT/GRE/GMAT and other standardized math books are enough to study for the OAT, and other people say that it's not nearly enough and I'd need more trig and calculus questions to go by, and to use something like MCAT materials.

What really is the truth about the QR section and what is the best way to study for it? (also, I am in Canada... and I cannot get the big Kaplan OAT Review Notes book - amazon and other places refuse to ship it to me even if I cough up the big $$$. Boo on you amazon!)

Thank you in advance 🙂

Bummer about the Kaplan book. The QR section varies from long division to trig questions, to irritating word problems. I'm pretty sure there is not any calc on it, the test has a ridiculously short time limit in my humble opinion. Thank god I took it the first year they let us have a 4 function calculator for it (made the long division problems much easier 😉
