It is weird to think about.

You're not using your brain to learn about your brain.

You're using your brain to learn about other people's brains.

There, problem solved, go back to studying.

I wonder about the brains we use in neuroanatomy, who they were etc etc. I never really thought about this in anatomy (I suppose because we had the bodies right there so the age, gender, physical stature questions were all answered).

technically, its not even other people's brains. its a drawing in a textbook. i mean, what are the chances that EVERYONE's brains are the exact same? theyre not. some parts are smaller than others, and everyone thinks differently, so its gotta be different rite?

but i still agree, go back to studying 😛

The best is stressing out while learning how bad stress is for your brain, lol, a vicious cycle. And I loved during our Alzheimer's lecture they were teaching about the benefits of continued mental exercize, and then told us that studying didn't count as exercise because it was so bad for your brain, thanks guys.

Yeah, but can't you just imagine all the little neurons firing when you're trying to memorize how they, in fact, do that?

We chopped our brains out of our cadavers to use for our neuro course, so I know that my brain was in a 90+ year old ex-military male. But we had brain halves from autopsies at the next-door hospital, so I wonder about those a little.

They all look the same after going through a blender.

Not neuro related, but I've been studying for physiology and learning about cortisol while being stressed out is making me more stressed out about all the abdominal fat deposits that this test block week is going to give me. :scared:

Studying memory when you really can't remember any of it is fun, too.

We did that, too, and our cadaver had a freaking great brain, but then they mixed 'em all up as far as I can tell. 😡 All the brains I've seen since then have not been as cool.

that is, assuming, that we had the blender. o, and the brain. then again, wouldnt it be kinda suspicious if one of our classmates suddenly disappeared? lol jk jk
