sup.

I'm trying to learn about the US healthcare system, where it's going wrong, where it's going right, comparative to other healthcare systems, etc. Idk how in depth I'm trying to go (it's like trying to navigate the fog of war lol) since the other night I spent hours trying to understand pharmacy benefits managers and am still confused. I've been reading An American Sickness and have the Healthcare Handbook third edition, but the main issue is that a lot of the terms/specifics are new to me, so without repition/seeing the terms used in discussion, I forget them.

Is there a forum like sdn or a forum here on sdn that discusses health policy and history/future of health policy?

Thanks.

We have a few places that probably should deserve more traffic. 🙂

Also I cover some of this in Becoming a Student Doctor, but more like a current topics format (here are some documentaries and articles). In ACGME Competencies parlance, basically it's an intro to "systems competencies."

We also welcome articles that fall under "topics in healthcare." We have a lot of articles over the years.
