When describing individuals such as your friend, coworker, or someone you interacted with, is it okay to use their names? It feels more personal than to just say "a friend" or "a coworker"

I used just the initial, like “W said it is important...”

Names will usually make it more personal or relatable. You can either give an initial or a full name, both with quotes. For example, "A." said Xyz, "Billy" said Xyz. Just be consistent with what method you choose.

Use an initial rather than a pretend name as it save space while protecting anonymity.
