So, I know that AP scores cannot be used in calculating your uGPA unless they were accepted and assigned credit on the transcript at one of your schools.
My undergraduate did not accept AP credits, though they did allow me to skip those courses and take the upper-levels.
However, I am currently attempting a DIY post-bacc, both due to missing prerequisites and for gpa repair, and the course selections are rather limited. Because I skipped and took mainly upper-level sciences (the area which CCs and extension schools tend to have fewer options in anyway), the majority of the courses left which do not overlap with my undergraduate transcript are...the ones I took in highschool...and this school accepts AP credits. Honestly, I would rather not repeat those classes, and besides, this would help me save both time and money.
My question is: would it be terrible to request credit for my APs now that I'm taking classes at a school which accepts them? Would they honor it if I'm not degree-seeking?
This would have a HUGE impact: I took 10AP courses my junior and senior years of HS, and received 5s in all 10 of them. That would add ~30 4.0 credits to my transcript, 12 of them under the BCPM heading. It would also fulfill any Calculus requirements, which I'm currently lacking, as I felt no need to take Multivariable once I got to school.
I know it wouldn't add to my upward trend, and that I'd still need to do a decent amount of work to demonstrate that I had improved my time management and could pull off a 4.0 postbacc load, but it would still be nice to receive credits which I've already earned, and to raise the ceiling for which GPA it is possible to achieve through any amount of repair work.
Thoughts?

I'm only taking classes because I'm missing 2 prereqs and am in need of some gpa repair (currently sitting at a 3.2). I was hoping the APs could help cut down the repair time, but I guess there really is no magic bullet!
